The Napa County Auto Body Shop That Collectors and Vintners Drive To

A St. Helena vintner brought us his daily Range Rover and his weekend Ferrari last summer — both on a flatbed, both hit on the same trip down Highway 29 during harvest traffic. He told us a closer Napa shop quoted six weeks on each. We had both back, OEM-spec, in three. The Ferrari left with a paint match a Concours judge later told him was "literally invisible." The Range Rover went back to school pickup the same week. He has been sending us his neighbors' cars ever since.

That is what Anthony's Auto Craft has been doing for Napa County drivers for over 50 years. We are not a faceless chain, and we are not the closest shop to the Valley. We are the one Napa Valley collectors, winery owners, Calistoga retirees, and American Canyon commuters cross the Napa River for — because they want the work done right. Anthony himself still walks the floor every day, and the team has rebuilt cars for every kind of Napa driver, from a Coombsville winemaker's pickup to a vintage Mercedes Gullwing kept in a Yountville garage.

Marin Independent Journal readers voted us Best of Marin in 2025 — and our Napa client list now spans the length of Highway 29.

A Best of Marin winner with a long line of Napa Valley clients. The drive south is 45 to 75 minutes — and Concours-grade work makes it worth the trip.

When something goes wrong with the car, you want it fixed by someone who gives a damn. That is us.

What We Do

Complete Auto Body Services for Napa County

From a parking-lot ding outside Oxbow Public Market to a full collision rebuild after a Highway 29 accident — every job gets the same level of precision.

01

Collision Repair

When an accident happens on Highway 29 between Napa and Calistoga, on the Silverado Trail, or on a narrow vineyard road in Coombsville, our collision repair team assesses every panel, structural component, and system. We restore your car to factory spec — not just cosmetically, but structurally.

02

Auto Body Repair

Fenders, doors, quarter panels, plastic bumper repair, panel replacement, and aluminum body repair on Tesla, Range Rover, Mercedes, and Audi. We use OEM parts where the warranty calls for them and high-grade aftermarket only when it makes sense for you.

03

Auto Painting

Our downdraft booth uses computerized color matching with a spectrophotometer. Whether you need a single panel sprayed, a Concours-grade full body repaint, or wildfire-damaged clear coat redone, we mix the exact factory color for your vehicle's year, make, and model.

04

Paintless Dent Repair

The fastest, most affordable fix for door dings from the Yountville sidewalk, Oxbow Public Market parking, or downtown St. Helena — plus hail dimples after a rare upper-Valley storm. We massage the metal back into shape with no filler and no repaint.

05

Frame Straightening

A vehicle with a bent frame is unsafe — and most drivers cannot tell after a moderate collision. Our laser-measured frame benches catch every millimeter of deviation and bring structural geometry back to OEM specs. Frame repair is the foundation of every proper collision job.

06

Bumper Repair

Bumper damage is the most common auto body repair we see from Napa drivers — slow tap-ups in Yountville, parking-lot scrapes at the Oxbow, harvest-truck nicks on Silverado Trail. We repair or replace front and rear bumpers using OEM-quality parts and finish them to match your paint perfectly.

07

Auto Restoration Service

Napa Valley garages hold some of the most significant classic cars in California. We have restored 1950s and 60s American cruisers, vintage Italian roadsters, pre-war Mercedes coupes, and ground-up rebuilds of Ferraris and Porsches for owners from St. Helena to Pope Valley.

08

Hail & Scratch Removal

After a rare upper-Valley hail storm or a long Mount Veeder drive that picks up rock chips, we handle every kind of cosmetic damage. Shallow scratches polish out through paint correction. Deeper scratches get filled, primed, and blended invisibly.

09

Car Detailing Service

Every collision repair pickup at Anthony's already includes a complete inside-and-out detail — no paint dust, no tape residue, no plastic still on the seat. Paint correction, headlight restoration, and full concierge service available as standalone work.

Roads We Know by Heart

The Napa Roads That Send the Most Cars to Our Shop

Napa Valley is two-lane country with eleven million tourists a year layered on top of harvest trucks, Concours rallies, and locals just trying to get to work. We have repaired thousands of vehicles hit on every one of these roads, and we know the kind of damage each one tends to cause.

Main Artery · Highway 29 · St. Helena Highway

Rear-end and side-swipe collisions through Napa, Yountville, Oakville, Rutherford, St. Helena, and Calistoga — the most common job we see from Napa Valley drivers, especially during harvest.

Wine Country · Silverado Trail

The classic alternative to 29 — and a magnet for everything from Ferraris to bicycle pelotons. Quarter-panel and bumper damage from low-speed encounters and shoulder-side scrapes.

Carneros · Highway 121 · Carneros Highway

Winery traffic from south Napa toward Sonoma. Rear-ends at the 121/29 split and intersection collisions near Domaine Carneros.

Mountain · Mount Veeder & Oakville Grade

Tight switchbacks crossing west out of the Valley toward Sonoma. Front-end and undercarriage repair after run-off-road incidents on the Trinity Road descent.

Howell Mountain · Deer Park Road & Howell Mountain Road

Steep grades with deer crossings between St. Helena, Angwin, and Pope Valley. Front-end damage and radiator work after night-time wildlife strikes.

Lake Country · Highway 128 · Berryessa

Long curves on the way to Lake Berryessa and Knoxville. Boat-trailer-related incidents, gravel rock chips, and fog-related side-swipes around Capell Valley.

Local Knowledge

Auto Body Repair in Napa County — What Drivers Need to Know

Napa is a small county that drives like a much bigger one. Highway 29 and the Silverado Trail are functional commuting roads on Tuesday mornings and packed tourist arteries every weekend from May through October. Side roads like Spring Mountain, Mount Veeder, Oakville Grade, and Howell Mountain Road are demanding two-lanes that punish a wandering tire. Lake Berryessa adds boat-trailer traffic. American Canyon adds Highway 37 and the daily Bay Area commute. Living in Napa means knowing a good auto body shop before you need one.

Affluent neighborhoods like Coombsville, Browns Valley, Stags Leap, and Spring Mountain run on long highway miles and high-end cars — Tesla, Range Rover, Porsche, Bentley, and a healthy fleet of weekend exotics that come out of barns for Concours, vintage rallies, and harvest dinners. American Canyon and south-Napa families lean toward pickups, SUVs, and EVs. Whatever you drive, our shop is built for it — and the drive south on 29 to Highway 37 to the Richmond Bridge is shorter than most Napa locals expect.

Insurance

We handle the hard part

Insurance Claim Assistance for Napa Drivers

Filing an auto body insurance claim can feel overwhelming, especially right after an accident. You are dealing with a stressful situation, and now you have to deal with phone trees, adjusters, and repair timelines.

At Anthony's Auto Craft, we have processed thousands of claims with California's largest insurers — State Farm, AAA, Allstate, Farmers, USAA, Liberty Mutual, Geico, Mercury, and others — plus the agreed-value classic and exotic carriers Napa collectors actually use, including Hagerty, Chubb, and AIG Private Client. We advocate on your behalf so your car gets fully repaired, not just patched to the minimum the insurer wants to pay for. We file the claim, send the photos, and write the supplements when an adjuster misses something.

You have the legal right to choose your own repair shop in California. Don't let an insurance company steer you to their preferred shop. Choose the shop that gets it right — even if it's a county away.

EV Repair

Tesla, Rivian, Lucid

EV Collision Specialist Services

Napa Valley driveways are filling with Teslas, Rivians, Lucids, and the occasional Polestar. EV collision work is not the same animal as a gas car when something goes wrong with the body.

EV collision repair requires certified bonded-aluminum and high-strength-steel processes that most shops are not approved to perform. We are Tesla-approved and trained on high-voltage-safe and structural EV repair, including the battery disconnect protocols every Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, BMW i-series, and Mercedes EQ requires before any structural panel comes off. If your car is not safe to drive, we coordinate flatbed towing from anywhere in Napa County.

Restoration

Concours & Classic

Concours-Grade Auto Restoration Service

Napa Valley is one of the great classic-car corners of the United States. Vintage rallies up Spring Mountain. Owner cruises down the Silverado Trail. Concours d'Elegance regulars storing pre-war Mercedes, Italian roadsters, and 1960s American cruisers in temperature-controlled barns from Carneros to Calistoga. Anthony's Auto Craft has been a trusted partner for restoration projects of every size — partial repaints, frame-up rebuilds, period-correct color matches, and the slow careful work that wins Concours classes instead of just showing up.

Classic car restoration requires patience, experience, and an eye for original details. We source the right materials, match period-correct colors with a spectrophotometer, and treat every classic as the irreplaceable piece it is.

Wildfire & Sun

Paint care for Valley conditions

Wildfire Smoke and Sun — Paint Care for Napa Vehicles

Napa County paint takes a beating that drivers in cooler counties don't see. Long, hot summers in the upper Valley break down clear coat faster. Wildfire smoke and ash from the 2017 Atlas Fire, the 2017 Tubbs Fire, the 2020 LNU Lightning Complex, and the 2020 Glass Fire settled on hoods and roofs across the county and etched the finish on cars that weren't washed in time. Vehicles that survived those fires often came back with paint damage that only showed up months later.

We handle full body repaint, color matching, paint correction, clear coat application, ceramic coating, and undercarriage rustproofing — the slow-burn maintenance work that keeps a Napa vehicle looking new five and ten years out, not just six months after the dealer.

Minor & Lease

Affordable options

Minor Accident Repair and Lease Return Repair

Not every repair is a major collision. Minor accident repair — the kind you need after a slow parking-lot bump in downtown Napa, a shopping-cart encounter at Vintage Marketplace, or a tight garage scrape on a Spring Mountain hillside driveway — is something we handle every day. These jobs are often more affordable than people expect, especially without an insurance claim.

If you are coming up on the end of a vehicle lease, we can help with lease return repair. Lessees often pay inflated "excess wear" charges when they return a car with scuffs or scratches. Having us handle the repairs before turn-in can save you significantly.

Don't Wait to Fix That Damage

Small dents and scratches spread — especially in Napa's hot summers, smoky harvest skies, and post-fire ash. Call today for a free, no-obligation estimate.

How long does a typical auto body repair take?

It depends on the severity. A minor bumper repair or door ding can be done in one to two days. A full collision repair with frame work, panel replacement, and a complete repaint typically takes five to ten business days. Concours-grade restoration and full body repaint runs longer. We give every customer a realistic timeline upfront and contact you if anything changes.

Do I have to use the shop my insurance company recommends?

No. In California, you have the legal right to choose your own auto body shop. Insurance companies sometimes steer customers to their preferred shops because those shops agree to cut costs. You are not obligated to use them. Choose the shop you trust, and we will work directly with your insurer.

Do you work with Hagerty, Chubb, and other classic-car carriers?

Yes. We regularly handle agreed-value claims through Hagerty, Chubb, AIG Private Client, Pure, and the other carriers Napa collectors typically use. We document the work to the standard those policies require, including before-and-after photography, parts sourcing notes, and finish details.

Can you repair wildfire smoke and ash damage to paint?

Yes. Wildfire ash is acidic and etches clear coat if it sits on a vehicle through Valley summer heat. We have repaired many vehicles after the 2017 Atlas Fire, the 2020 LNU Lightning Complex, and the 2020 Glass Fire. Treatment ranges from full paint correction and ceramic resealing on lighter cases to spot repaint or full body repaint on more severe damage.

Do you offer a warranty on your work?

Yes. Anthony's Auto Craft provides a lifetime warranty on bodywork and paint repairs for as long as you own the vehicle. If anything we repaired fails due to workmanship, bring it back and we will fix it at no charge.

Troubleshooting Guide

My bumper looks only scuffed after an impact. Could there be hidden damage?
A bumper cover can conceal damaged attachments or components behind it. The outside appearance alone does not establish the extent of an impact. Tell Anthony's Auto Craft where the car was struck and report any new noise, warning or change in how it drives.Learn More About Luxury Collision RepairLearn More About Mercedes Body RepairLearn More About Maserati Body Repair
Why is the airbag warning on after a collision?
A warning can indicate a fault affecting the restraint system, even if an airbag did not deploy. Do not erase it or assume the restraints will work normally. Arrange qualified assessment and tell Anthony's Auto Craft the exact warning before planning vehicle delivery.Learn More About Luxury Collision RepairLearn More About Mercedes Body RepairLearn More About Maserati Body Repair
What should I do if my bumper or underbody trim is hanging loose?
Loose parts can detach or contact a tire or the road. Stop somewhere safe and do not reach beneath the vehicle in traffic. Describe the loose area to Anthony's Auto Craft and arrange assistance if the vehicle cannot be moved safely.Learn More About Luxury Collision RepairLearn More About Mercedes Body RepairLearn More About Maserati Body Repair
There is a new leak after the collision. Is it safe to drive?
The source and severity cannot be established from fluid color alone. Do not continue driving with a substantial leak, fuel smell, smoke or a critical warning. Keep clear of leaking fluids and contact appropriate assistance; advise Anthony's Auto Craft of the leak before delivery.Learn More About Luxury Collision RepairLearn More About Mercedes Body RepairLearn More About Maserati Body Repair
Why are parking-sensor or driver-assistance warnings appearing after impact?
Damage or displacement near a sensor or camera can affect its operation, but testing is needed to establish the cause. Do not rely on an affected assistance feature. Give Anthony's Auto Craft the exact warning and impact location so any required inspection or calibration can be considered.Learn More About Luxury Collision RepairLearn More About Mercedes Body RepairLearn More About Maserati Body Repair
